In order to be eligible for appointment as a Certified Approver (CA), University of Minnesota employees must pass a two-part exam.
Once a candidate has passed the first part of the exam, that person must pass the second part within one calendar year from the date of passing the first exam. If the second part of the exam is not taken within this one-year period, the score for the first exam will be voided. In this case, the candidate must start over and retake both parts of the exam.
The above time limit for taking the exam will be waived for those taking the any part of the exam just prior to the moratorium. Once both parts of the exam are available this polcy will be back in effect.
