Sponsored Projects Compliance Resources:  Monitoring and Audits

Implementing sponsored projects monitoring and auditing systems to assure compliance, detect breakdowns, and identify potential problem areas.


Department of Audits:

The mission of the Department of Audits is to provide independent, objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value and improve the operations of the University of Minnesota. Audits considers risks broadly and includes within its scope all activity posing financial, operational, technological, regulatory or reputational risk to the University.

Office of Oversight, Analysis & Reporting:

The Office of Oversight, Analysis & Reporting (OAR) is an institutional level oversight mechanism providing repports and assisting units with establishing recurring risk measurement and exception reporting practices.representing a fundamental principle of the University of Minnesota Sponsored Projects Oversight Model:

"Oversight is always separate from the operating unit that makes the decisions"

Office of Regulatory Affairs:

The Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) provides internal oversight on compliance issues related to the performance of research trials at the University of Minnesota.  The overall purpose of the ORA is to ensure the safety, rights and well-being of research subjects and to help ensure the quality and integrity of the research.
